Surprise Birthday Party

During the East Coast Trip, one of my group mates, my room mate, had birthday so we celebrated her birthday in the hotel. The day before her birthday, I and some friends were looking for a present for her. She likes something cute, for example, toys, picture books and so on. We tried to look for those things at a mall in Boston, but we could not find a good present, so we bought her just a birthday card with puppy photos. She loves dogs very much, so we chose this birthday card. Some of her other friends bought her some stickers of American famous buildings. She also loves stickers and is collecting them. I was sure that she would like our presents.

On her birthday, all of us except her met one room at the hotel after dinner and stared to write each of our messages on the card. I suddenly noticed that she was alone at her room next door, so I went back to see her. She was lying on her bed and looked out of sorts. I knew why. It was because no one came to our room. It was unusual. However I could not tell her anything because it was surprise party. I went back to the room quickly and wrote my message. I was hoping that her mood would change soon. Finally, we finished writing our messages and then visited her room. I went into the room first and everyone followed me. We sang a birthday song to her. She looked very surprised and was laughing. One of her friends gave her the present and the card and she started crying. We were happy because she liked our presents.

We enjoyed surprising her very much. She was surprised to get the message from me, because it was the first time I had ever written her a message. She was in good mood at last. I hope that her birthday this year became the best birthday for her. Now, these presents are displayed in our room. I want to celebrate her next birthday with the same members.
