My wonderful trip

From 13 to 18, I went to Boston and Washington D.C. It was my first time to visit the East Coast!! This trip became a wonderful memory in this study abroad program. On the first day in Boston, I visited Plimoth Plantation. It was Pilgrim village. I talked to some pilgrims. I learned about their life. The thing that the most surprised me about their life was that they take a bath only in the summer in the river. They don’t take a bath in winter. Another thing that surprised me was that they practice how to use a gun every day. I also visited Wampanoag Indian camp. I talked with some Indians!! I enjoyed talking with one of them. He taught us how to live in the past. Now his favorite food is pizza. When I heard the fact, it was so funny!! The day that we visited there, the weather was very nice. My first day on the East Coast was really cool!!

On the third day in Boston, we went to Beacon Hill and Quincy Market. The Weather was bad so we couldn’t walk on the Freedom trail. It was a pity but we could see the trail from the bus. At first, when I visited Beacon Hill, I thought I want to live in such houses!! The houses were beautiful. If it had been fine day, I could have seen a more beautiful view. Next, I went to Quincy Market. I ate a lobster sandwich there. It was so nice. I also tried some clam soup and did some shopping. I bought some souvenirs and something for me. I had thought Quincy Market had many clothes shops before I went there. This day was very exciting.

I also went to Washington D.C. We took a train from Boston. It took about ten hours to get there. I was very tired. While I was on the train, I always slept. When I arrived at the station, I was surprised that it was so big. In Washington D.C., I visited many monuments. I was impressed with these monuments. I like to visit history buildings, so I enjoyed it very much. I took a lot of pictures. I want my family to look at my pictures!! Something I noticed when I looked was that Lincoln Memorial, Washington monument and the capitol are aligned with each other. I was very very amazed at this!!

I enjoyed Washington D.C. and Boston a lot. I want to go there again and to New York also!! I learned about a lot of American history on my trip. I could experience so many new things.
