Exciting East Coast Trip

I went to the East Coast from April 12 to April 17. I had been looking forward to this trip for a long time because I was interested in famous places such as the White House, the Lincoln Memorial, Harvard University and so on. There are three things that I really enjoyed.

My most favorite place was the Lincoln Memorial because the statue of Lincoln was larger than I expected. Many people visited there so I thought they respect him. I was impressed with the speech of Gettysburg which was on the wall inside the memorial. As I had memorized this speech in Japan, I said it at the memorial with my friends. The view of the Washington Monument from the memorial was very beautiful. If we had gone there at night, it would have been more beautiful because the Lincoln Memorial lights up. I want to go there at night someday. I really enjoyed this memorial.

My most favorite food on the trip was a lobster roll. As Mr. Griffith had said it is delicious, I ate one at Quincy Market. Though I don’t like lobster too much, I could eat one. It was delicious. I love lobster roll. It cost $14 with oyster soup. This was expensive but it was worth it. The shop was very crowded but the service was perfect. There were some lobsters in the water tank. I was surprised at them because they were big. I enjoyed lunch time there. I want to go there again to eat lobster roll and something else.

I learned many other things also. First, I realized that both of Boston and Washington D.C. were beautiful. The atmosphere of Boston was modern. There were many modern buildings. That of Washington D.C. was natural. There were their rich natural environments around the White House, the U.S. capital and so on. It was a pity that I couldn't go to New York and see the statue of liberty but I learned many things anyway.

This trip was interesting. I had a good experience. I looked at famous buildings, ate delicious food and learned many things. I want to the East Coast again and go to my favorite places and various places I haven't been to yet.
