Wonderful Weekend

Last Saturday, I went downtown to see a parade. That day was St.patrics’s Day. It means that people have to wear green things. It seems that it is held this parade is held every year. But this year it was on the weekend, so I could go to downtown. I was lucky!! I wore green clothes. It was because that I heard if I don’t wear green things, I might be pinched by someone. But, actually, people who don’t wear green things were not pinched. I thought that I don’t need to wear green things. I tried hard to choose green clothe the day before. But, many American wore green things. Some people were covered with green things from head to foot. I was very surprised!!

When I arrived downtown, the parade started soon. First of all, a car and a bike appeared. The bike looked very cool!! The car looked also so cute. Those seemed to advertise something. Then, cheer leaders came up there in front of us. The girls were very cute. Everyone clapped for the cheer leaders. After that some cheer leaders came up to us again and again. Then, a big horse and lama appeared in front of us. I couldn't imagine that horse is such a big animal. Also, I saw Lama for the first time. It was very surprising. It was rare, so I took many pictures. I thought later that it was not so necessary. But, it is also a good memory. The parade was very wonderful!!

I have gone downtown four times. But this was my first time to see a parade in America. It was a nice memory for me. In Japan, there are not too many parades. Also, there are no days when we have to put on green things. I can experience various things in America!! I had a good time on Saturday. I want to see a parade again if there is a chance.
