Happy Valentine's Day

February 14th is Saint Valentine's Day. In Japan, women give their boyfriends chocolates. It's a sign of love. Men don't always give chocolates to their girlfriends. Women give their boyfriends cards, too.

But in America, women give their boyfriends chocolates and cards, and men give their girlfriends chocolates and cards. They give chocolates to their friends. In your case teachers give chocolates to students. Brenda said me "Sometimes fathers give chocolates to their daughters." I was surprised at this. Saint Valentine's Day in America and Japan is different. I was surprised that fathers give their daughters chocolates.
