On April 19th, I went to River Front Park with my RA and few of my group members. This was my first time to go to a theme park in America. I was looking forward to this day, and I made a small boll which was made of paper or cloth and hang it outside my dormitory hooping for fine weather. It is called “Teruteru-bouzu” in Japan.
Sadly, the day had strange weather. It was sunny and warm, but sometimes snowy and cold. When we arrived at the theme park, we were surprised at the size of the park. It was smaller than I thought. It looked like it was designed for children. There were roller coasters, a ferries wheel, a 3D coaster and a little theater. We bought the free pass ticket, and took 9 rides in all. There were many children, and they looked cute and childish. I had underestimated the danger of the rides. Actually, almost all of rides had tremendous centrifugal force and quick rotary motion. I was dizzy, but it was also fun. I thought the speed of American ride is faster than Japanese rides. I don’t recommend it to a parson who is poor at motion sickness.
After the theme park, at our RA’s suggestion, we went to sushi.com restaurant for lunch. I ordered a rainbow roll which has different types of raw fish on a California-roll and they are arranged like a rain bow. It looked really beautiful. Also, it was my first time to eat a California-roll sushi. Before eating, I didn’t understand why avocado is added to sushi. However, it was really delicious. While we were eating, we talked about a next plane. We’ll go to another restaurant next weekend. I can’t wait until nest weekend.
