Fantastic Origami Art

This week I had two chances to make origami. I like to do it, so it was a fun thing for me. While I fold origami, I remember my childhood. My grandmother was my origami teacher. She is clever with her fingers, and she taught me how to fold origami many times. Therefore, I always remember my grandmother while I fold origami.

On Wednesday, I took part in Japan Week as a origami section staff at Commons. My part was teaching visitors how to fold origami and enjoy it. On this day, many people visited our section. I was surprised at the mount of people. Our section had only four staffs, but about 15 people gathered at one time. We were busy, we didn’t have enough time to rest. We continued our responsibilities from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. it was a very long time, but it was also fun.

Also, on Thursday evening, in tutorial time, at our RA’s suggestion, our group member and I fold origami. It was a happy time for me. During this time, not only I was able to teach my friends how to fold it, but also my friends taught me. I leaned how to make Jumping frogs, a ribbon and piano. We were absorbed in folding origami, foretting about time passing away.

During my MFWI life, I have had many times to fold origami. I have done it as a Girl Scouts volunteer, with my host daughter, with my pen pal, during Japan Week and during tutorial time with our group members and RA. I had not forgotten how interesting origami is before starting this life. However, while folding origami, I could remember my childhood. Also, I could talk with foreigner and become friends with them. It was good experience for me. Origami remains me a lot of fun things. The next time, if I could go abroad, I’ll bring origami and an origami book.
