Interesting Special Unit

We had different classes during the East Coast Trip weeks. This time was called special unit. Special unit classes were organized by travel group, so we could have classes with our travel members. Of course, teachers were different from our usual classes. I was looking forward to having special class.

We studied interesting topics during those 2 weeks. Usually, we study conversation, writing, reading and American studies, but those 2 weeks were different. In my class, I studied about American history, important buildings in Washington D.C and American holidays. I really enjoyed learning each topic.

I especially enjoyed learning about American holidays. First, we made groups 4 or 5 students and each group learned about different American holidays and made a poster, and then we had a holiday party. My topic of holidays is the Tanks giving. First we learn about it by Internet, and we went to the library then we got a lot of information about Thanks giving. During our East Coast Trip, we ate a kind of food for Thanks giving, so we could imagine easily what it was alike. Then, we made a big poster. We decorated it, so it was very cute, and we made hats, which American people wear on Thanks giving day.

There were many decorated cut posters were made by the other groups in the Assemble hall. Holiday party started, and each students visited each holidays and presented our own buildings. In the presentation, some groups made quizzes or other group sang song on each holidays or made a game. It was so fun! It was not only enjoyable, but also we could learn about American holidays.

I really enjoyed special unit class, so I want to take class with my group members again.
