Long-awaited Homestay

At last the day I had waited for came on March 21 and it was a homestay. It was the first time for me to stay with an American family. My host family had my host father, my host mother, two dogs and one cat. They had a beautiful house, front and back yards and a nice shop where my host father repairs cars. The dogs sometimes ran in the yard. Kenai, one of the dogs, is very sociable but Max, the other dog, is very shy. This was very contrastive so it was very funny. In addition, I like both Kenai and Max.

We had delicious food and did many exciting tings during homestay. On the first day, we cooked pizza which was cheesy and it was very delicious. On the second day, we went to zoo. The zoo had tigers, lions, snakes and so on. It was a small zoo but I could enjoy it very much. This is because I could feed meat to a lion and touch a baby tiger. His skin was very smooth and he was very pretty. Then we went to grocery store to buy some stuff to cook Okonomiyaki. I bought some cabbage and pork. I thought this store was very large and there are many kinds of food. In addition, each idem was bigger than the same idem in Japan, especially the meat. After we went back home, I cooked same Okonomiyaki. It took a lot of time to cook it but the taste was very good!
The third day, it was Easter day and we celebrated it by doing many things. First We went to the church. It was my first time to celebrate Easter so I was very excited. We waked up at 5:00a.m. and we went to watch the sunrise by their car. It was very cold but the sunrise was wonderful. Next, we went to the other church, ate the breakfast, listened to some songs and prayed. There were many people in this church. It was very fresh for me. After we went back home, we dyed many eggs with color. I tried to make some beautiful eggs so it was very fun! The lunch on this day was very gorgeous. I could eat thick steak, some croissant, salad, kind of gratin and so on. Every thing tasted very good!
I really enjoyed Easter. This homestay was very short but I could enjoy and experiense a lot of things thanks to host family!
