Five Dreamy Days

My group went to the East Coast on April 8th. I had a lot of different experiences on this trip Before I went to the East Coast. I asked some RA. "Have you ever been to the East Coast such as Boston, NY or Washington D.C.?" All of the RAs I asked have never been there, so I had no information and I felt I would a have precious experience. Before I went there I learned about American history such as the Revolutionary wars and pilgrims in American studies, so I had little information about that. When I arrived Boston, I thought Boston looks different from Spokane.
I had a great time! There are many cute buildings and there are also many people. When I went to Beacon Hill, I thought also there are modern buildings and old buildings and there are also many people. It dose look like one of movie's scene. There were very cute! My most favorite spot is Plymouth Plantation. I'm interested in pilgrims, There were pilgrims who pretended real pilgrims at the time more than anything else. I was happy to talk to them on the actual situation. Sometimes pilgrims told me information an language. Sometimes pilgrims showed me their life style, and so on. I could learn much more than one has ever known. That's why I was very excited about this place.

I also love Quincy Market! There were a lot of people there, and various people! Some students said "I don't like it." but I like crowded streets, so I was excited. I ate a lobster sandwich for lunch. It was very famous there. It was recommended to me by Mr. Griffith. It was so delicious! I want to eat it again! This enjoyable time did not last long.

We left for Washington D.C. the next day. We went abroad Amtrak(American Track and Travel)it took 8 hours. While we traveled. I could see some nice scenery but there were many thickets.
Finally we arrived in Washington D.C.! Yeah!
There is Heart of America. There was various people, such as Black people, Chinese, Africa and so on. My bus guide said over million people visit Washington D.C. every year. I was surprised. I was also surprised that Washington D.C. is not identified with any states. I didn't know that. I went to many memorials. First we went to Arlington, Virginia. There were many people from all over the world. Some people put flowers on memorials, some people had a tearful look. I felt very sad. I saw a monument. It said "FREEDOM IS NOT FREE". I was so impressed by that, because I thought it had deep meaning. People might be fighting about freedom, but as a result There were a lot of people who died, were missing, captured and wounded. I recognized that I want to never repeat the mistake of going to war.
I also went to the White house! It looked beautiful. That day national flag was standing, so my guide said "The President is here maybe." I couldn't believe that there was the president in front of me! There were several performers that protested against administration of today. I was surprised. I also met Lincoln! But he is a actually a statue. I like him. I also like his Gettysburg Address, and I can say the Gettysburg Address, because I learned and memorized that in Japan. I said Gettysburg Address in front of him. I was so happy to visit this city.
I learned what one should lean through the trip. I had a great experience. I want to go there again. I want to talk to somebody this important experience.
