St.Patrick's Day is also my birthday! by Shoko
I have never heard of "St. Patrick's Day" since I came to Spokane. I don't know why we celebrate the Irish, but we should wear green. If I don't do that, I'm pinched! It was a very funny day for me. Everyone, even Commons staff, wore green. In fact, March 17th is also my birthday! I was the person at MFWI who really enjoyed St. Patrick's Day. Almost all of my friends said to me, "Happy St. Patrick's Day and birthday!" My classmates gave me a green balloon on which was written, "Happy Birthday and St. Patrick's Day!" and their names. It was like a birthday card. After school, I went to volleyball class alone, because my friends who live in the same dorm and take that class didn't attend. I was very sad, but in the evening I was able to know the true reason. They prepared my birthday party secretly! One of the members of my group's birthday is the 18th, so the party was for her and me. When I first came in the room, there was a huge pizza! After enjoying pizza, we ate some cakes which was made by my friends! It was so delicious, so I ate it in a twinkle. My friends also gave me some presents and a birthday card. One of the presents was a large chocolate shaped like a rabbit for Easter. I don't want to eat it, so I put it on my shelf for now. This birthday was the most special day in my life.
