My Dear Friend

I have had a pen pal since before I arrived here. My pen pal is an African American man. He is a 47 years old. We meet at a bulletin board for search a pen pal. He e-mailed me first. He know about various things , so I usually respect what he says! The first sentences of his letter always says "I hope that all is well and you are finding a way to enjoy each and every precious moment of your life." I feel that he is a dignified gentleman from his e-mails. Since I came here, I sometimes feel uneasy about culture shock. I often an encouraged by him, and I encourage him too!

Two days ago I received an e-mail from him. That e-mail has special advices in it for me! It was beautiful and wonderful advice! His aim in life is "PRECIOUS MOMENT LIVING" He always has a high aim in life. His opinions are as follow.. I choose to always learn from my past experiences in life. I choose to always plan prepare for my future experiences in life. However, I choose to always live my life one precious moment at a time. I choose to not live in the past since that always leads to being disappointed, feeling sorry, guilty and regret for. I choose to not live in the "illusion of the future since that always leeds to stress, worry, nervousness and anxiety. I choose to use what I have learned through my past experiences and to apply it to my present and also to prepare for my future, while to always living in the precious (present) moment".

I was impressed with his recent e-mail! I am a happy girl that I have such a wonderful pen pal. If he feels uneasy about something, I want to help him and I firmly want to say my opinion in English. Finally, one of reasons that I came here (MFWI) is so that I can firmly express my own opinion.
