Homestay match up by Etsuko

On Sunday, I met my host family at match up. My host family is Candie. She works at the JCC at MFWI, and she has a daughter named ZZ, who is four years old. She is very cute and shy. I was very nervous, so I could not say what I wanted to say. However, Candie was very kind. She talked to me and spoke English more slowly. I could talk about a lot of things. such as pets, hobbies, Americans, Japanese, and so on. They have a dog, two horses, one turkey, and some fish. I love dogs very much, but on the other hand, I don't like turkeys. I worry about it. ZZ's hobby is ballet, but she just started a few weeks ago. I would like to introduce her ballet. My host mother's hobby is shopping, so she will take me to a shopping mall on homestay weekend. I'm looking forward to going shopping with my host family. Their favorite Japanese food is kattupa-maki and takoyaki. They said that they have a takoyaki machine, but have never cooked takoyaki with takoyaki machine, so I will try to make takoyaki for them.My favorite American foods are pizza and spaghetti, so Candie will teach me how to make them. I had a good time at match up. Candie is very kind and ZZ is very cute. I didn't worry about homestay. I'm looking forward to staying a their house!
