Short Trips

Last week I was very busy. I visited many places, for example, Aunties bookstore, Rock Wood Bakery and circus. I also saw the broadway musical CATS. We could attend many events. Every event was very exiting for me. Last week was very busy but I could experience many things which I can't experience in Japan.

I enjoyed the Aunties bookstore the best. The bookstore is a very beautiful building. I was very surprised to hear that it doesn’t have any branch; there is only one store and it is in Spokane. It was my second time to go there. The first time was when I went Downtown with my friends, but I didn’t know this bookstore is so famous in Spokane at that time, I only heard that this shop is the biggest bookstore in Spokane. This bookstore has many books and a lot of kinds of books. Our teacher gave us a kinds of quizes to research book titles, for example, the books which has over 400 pages, or the books which cost under $4.00, etc. I and Ayaka researched many books titles. To research book title in English was very difficult for us, so I didn't have enough time to look at many books. I could buy only some bookmaks and postcards as souvenirs. The designs of bookmarks were Disney designed so they were very cute. The postcards were also very beautiful, One was a Spokane River. I intend to introduce Spokane River to my family when I return back to Japan. I liked this bookstore. I wanted to spend more time looking at books.

Then we went to the Rock Wood Bakery. I was very surprised becouse it was near my RA's house. This shop was very fashionable. I liked its look. Inside of bakery was also very nice. I ate a chocolate scone and drank café latte. Both were very delicious. My friend ate muffin, it was also very delicious. I didn’t like coffee when I was in Japan. I could drink coffee only with a lot of milk, but recently I can drink some coffee with a little milk and sugar. In my mind, people who drink coffee and tea are adult, so I wanted to be able to drink coffee, so my little dream came true. When I go back to Japan, I want to try other type of coffee and I want to find my favorite coffee. Then I want to find my favorite coffee shop. In Spokane I want to go back to Rock Wood Bakery, but I can not go there by myself because it’s so far from here. Whenever I eat some sweets, I feel very happy.

Last week was very beautiful week. I was very happy to experience to many events and go to this famouse bookstore and bakery. If I have a chance to go to those places again, I want to and I want to other experiences.
