I went to the East Coast from April 12 to April 17. Boston and Washington D.C. were very cold. The weather was a little bad. But my group could visit every place. There were many places to visit during the East Coast Trip, for example, The white House, The US capital and Lincoln memorial and so on. I thought that this area of America was attractive.
The place which impressed me most was Arlington. There were many graves there. I was surprised that there are now about 300,000 graves in Arlington. I saw John F. Kennedy's grave and Robert F. Kennedy's grave. There were differences between both of them. John F. Kennedy's grave was big and gorgeous. On the other hand, Robert F. Kennedy's grave was very simple. On his grave there was a white cross made of wood. I also learned about the meaning of the flag. On that day, the American flag was raised only halfway up the pole. This shows respect for someone who died. The following day, I saw many half flags, because there was an incident at Virginia Technology University. I thought that the meaning of the flag is very important. Arlington was interesting place for me.
I stayed at the Marriot Quincy hotel in Boston and at the Hilton Washington D.C. hotel during the East Coast Trip. I liked the Marriot Quincy hotel most. It was the nice hotel. The room was large and the bed was very comfortable. The last morning in Marriot Quincy hotel, the chef cooked omelet and waffle for us. I ate both of them. I was really full. The Hilton in Wasington D.C was smaller than I thought. But there were a pool and gym. I went there to exercise. I run for 15 minutes in the gym. I also did some exercise. I was tired. I thought that I have a lack of exercise. After that, we had a birthday party for my friend. The party was a surprise for her. It was successful. My friend was very pleased at the birthday party. I thought that it was good to be 20 years old with friends in America. All the experiences in this hotel was fun!!!
I had a really good time on the East Coast Trip. The only bad thing was the weather. I wish it would have been nice weather. But I could make many memories with my friends. I also learned many things. I thought that America was a very exciting country. I think that I want to come here again if I have a chance.
