Interesting American Culture

This weekend I could learn a lot of new American cultures. First on Thursday I went to Indian Trail Elementary School during tutorial time. I watched a play by the Indian Trail Elementary School students. The play was the “Wizard of Oz”. I had heard about the play, but I don’t know the story. The story about the Dorothy’s impossible dream. I like the story. It was emotional, because children were magnificent and enjoyed the play. I thought Japanese children can’t do such a thing because maybe they are ashamed to patient in a play. I admired the American kids. There are parents at play exciting too, so the hall was very emotional. Finally at the end of the play everyone stand up in , I was so surprised!!

Also on Saturday I met my host family. Then I ate ice cream. I had want to go the shop, so I was very happy. The shops name is "cold stone ice cream". This shop is only Tokyo in Japan, so I can not eat this ice cream often. I like the shop because the shop makes a original ice cream on marble. I ate banana crurnchi caramel ice cream. It was so good. I want to eat again but I can not go there because there is no bus service to the shop. I will go there again with my host mother. After that we went to Petco. It is a pet shop. I could see many animals there, for example snakes, hamsters, tropical fishes and birds. I could not see any dogs and cats, but many people were in this shop. The thing is not good in Japan, so I was surprised.

On Wednesday I made Easter’s eggs. It was interesting. I drew Mickey and my name in kanji on the eggs. I drow a picture of Mickey Mouth and wrote my name. in Kanji on the eggs. I could not drow on it. I asked my RA about Easter, then she said every year she makes original eggs. I thought it is very interesting culture thing for me. Then I could eat the egg, but I could not eat the eggs, because surface was very interesting.

I could refer a lot of American cultures on this week. I could many exciting and interesting experiences. I could think, I think I want to learn more American culture.
