Exciting Treasure Hunt

During tutorial on Tuesday, we painted eggs for Easter. It was my first time to experience Easter. First, I, my group mates and my RA drew pictures on boiled eggs with a crayon. Those eggs were prepared by my RA before that. I drew stars, rabbits and faces on my eggs. I handled them carefully so as not to break them. After that, I soaked them in colorful ink. Then the eggs were turning red, green and so on. In Japan, there are no events like this, so I enjoyed painting the eggs. It was very interesting to make eggs colorful and I wondered whether we could eat them afterwards or not.

On the next day, the RAs who live in Covington hid all the eggs which we painted the day before everywhere in the dormitory and all of students tried to find them. Our group mates were very excited to find them, because we wanted to win first prize. We like this kind of game and we wanted to be No.1 group in the dormitory.I and some my group mates ran down to a basement to look for the eggs and others ran up to the third floor to find them at once. I ran down as fast as I could. We looked for the eggs throughout the dormitory for about 20 minutes. I was very tired going up and down. After that, the RAs counted the eggs of each group. Our group found 39 eggs and we won third prize. The prize was some chocolate. I thought our group was first prize, so I was a little sad, but I enjoyed the treasure hunt.

I thought American holiday traditions are very fun, because we did them together. I am interested in American holiday traditions, so I was happy that I could experience one of them. I think this tutorial was my best one. This weekend, I will have home stay and we will decorate eggs again. I am looking forward very much to doing that again.
