I had a host family match-up on March 19. It took a long time for me to know who my host family was, so I and my roommate were concerned about it. I hoped that my host family would have been decided earlier. We met at Commons for 3 hours.
When I met my host family, I felt a little nervous. I was too nervous to eat dinner. I couldn't speak English very well. First, I introduced myself to my host family. My host father asked me some questions about my family, my student life and so on. There are 4 people in my host family, my host father, mother, brother and sister. At that time, all of them were in Commons. They were very friendly. My host father works as an architect. My host mother helps him and does housework. I am looking forward to going to my host family's house because their house was built recently. My host brother is 6 years old and very cute. He likes Godzilla. My host sister is 3 years old and very cute, too. She likes the Disney character Cinderella. After the end of the match-up, when they were leaving, I hugged my host family.
I had a good time though I sometime couldn't understand what my host family said. I wanted to talk with my host brother and sister more. When I go to my host family's house from April 6 to 8, I want to talk with them a lot. Easter is at that time. We haven't decided what we will do on the day. I am going to learn about American life style during my homestay. I am looking forward to meeting my host family again.
