Good Days!

One month and two weeks have passed since we came to Spokane. I am getting accustomed to this new life. I am realizing that there is only about six weeks left here. We have spent half of our time here at the program. I think this time has past very quickly, but I had experienced and soaked up many things.

When we arrived here, it was very cold, there was much snow, and the weather was bad. But recently, it is very warm and I can feel spring coming. On the ground or around house, we can often see a couple of squirrels. They are very cute and are good at climbing trees very fast. I had never seen wild squirrels in Japan, it was my first time to see squirrels, so I was very excited. Sometimes I can watch the squirrel eating nuts. I want to take pictures of them to show my family and my friends. I always tried to take some pictures, but I didn't have my camera. I want to take many pictures of them before I return to Japan and I want to see more wild animals.

We have gone to many places, for example, Seattle, host family's house ,whitworth University, the English language center, Sunrise Elementary school and a theater to watch at play Romeo and Juliet etc. Through these events, we experienced many things, touched American culture and learned about America. To communicate with American is very fun. The chance to learn about America and improve our English skills, and to watch the movie or listen to music in English are also connected to improve listening skills.

We still have many things planed for the rest of this program. I want to enjoy all of them, and I want to make many memories, and study English more to improve my English skills. I will do my best, because I may feel this program is a very wonderful trip when I go back home to Japan.
