A small gift for you

One of my favorite hobbies is collecting postcards. For example, I collect birthday cards, Mother's day cards, picture postcards, humorous cards. They give pleasure and sympathy. There are more interesting cards in America than Japan. You can see them in supermarkets or shopping malls such as WAL☆MART or Northtown. They're even in bookstores. I went downtown with my friends in early Spring, and I bought a lot of post cards. I spent much money getting them, but I had a happy time choosing them! I got 12 cards in the day. A card which has 9 "I love you's" in 9 different languages, a picture of an old frog couple pulling a boat in a lake, a Mother's day card, a birthday card, lovely thank you cards and nice picture postcards.

Why are there so many cards? I heard it's popular to send cards to each other in America. They delight to celebrate various things. My host mother also said she liked to send them. She liked to make cards herself too. I respect such culture. I sent a Mother's day card to my mother. It is with my whole heart. I love to send post cards.
