Japan Week by Ai

Today, I took part in Japan Week. In this festival, we introduced Japanese culture. I belong to Ensemble, so I sang the Japanese and American national anthems at the opening ceremony. I couldn't sing well because I was really nervous, but the audience applauded so I was happy. Next, I danced bon dance. I signed up for the activity before, so I was looking forward to today! After singing, I changed from my school uniform to yukata so quickly. Mr. Mori's wife, Junko, helped me, so I could wear it beautifully. At first, I was embarrassed to dance in public, but the feeling disappeared soon. I really enjoyed it. On our way to dancing, we invited people in Spokane to bon dance. They were willing to join us. I danced with a kid. She was very cute, but a little shy. I taught her how to dance. It was a good experience for me. I was happy to show Japanese culture in America. After that, I went to Starbucks with my friends. We were still wearing yukata then, so everyone stared at us and they said to us, "You look so nice! " Thanks to yukata, I could talk with many people today.
