Wonderful Homestay

How nice my weekend was! I had a very good time last weekend. I stayed with a family in America. I had never had home stay before, so I was a little nervous, but my host family made me happy. First, my host father picked us up at 3 o'clock, then we went to his office. His job is selling houses, so there were many kinds of cute furniture in his office. I especially liked their kitchen in his office, which has a cute table and chairs, useful kitchen utensils and colorful refrigerator. I wanted not only to work there, but also to live there. Next, I met my host mother and we went to watch a ice-hockey game. It was my first time to watch ice-hockey. My host father played ice-hockey several years ago, so he and his family likes ice-hockey. The Spokane Chiefs is a strong team. We cheered for the team. We also bought our souvenir and team T-shirts, and we ate hot-dogs and pizza during the game. I thought we were like Americans. The game was very exciting and our team won the game. After the game, we were very excited and emotion made us relax. We could talk with our host family and be comfortable.

My host family is very interesting. The host family members are father, mother, two children and two dogs. They are adopted children who came from China and their age are 2 and 3 years old, but host parents loves two kids. On Saturday, there was a small meeting fir which some parents who have adopted children from China. There were many young Chinese children at this meeting, and I played with them at McDonald's playground equipment. They all were very active, so I was very tired after this, but I enjoyed the time very much. Some children hugged me at the end. It was very cute.

We made some Japanese food for them. They didn't know which kind of food we made for them, so before eating, they looked worried. However, they ate all food and they said that it was very delicious and they liked it. We were happy they thought so.
On Sunday, we went market near their house, we bought some of dinner ingredients, and they explained a lot us about American food. They told us some fruits and vegetables that I never heard before. I am a person who want to try new things so I want to eat this kind of food!! Sunday's dinner was spaghetti and some bread. It was very delicious so I ate a second helping.

In this home stay, we didn't do anything special, but I think we had a very good time. I could watch American family and their lifestyle. They had cute furniture and decorations in their house, and their children and their dogs were so cute! We could talk about many things with our host family, so I enjoyed home stay. I was sad when I came back to my dormitory, but they invited us again, so I'm looking forward to meeting them again.
