St.Patrick's Day by Yukiko

America has a lot of festivals. I guessed St. Patrick's Day was not grand when it was compared with other festivals, but it was a mistake. The Commons was decorated with green color for along time, but I didn't care about it and I forgot about it. The last day of St. Patrick's Day, I went shopping. Lots of stores sold green clothes and hats and other goods. I guessed green was fashionable in America now. After I went back to the dorm, I realized some friends had bought green goods for the festival, then I recollected it. I thought it would be alright not to wear something green because it was only 1 day, but I was wrong. The next day I went out of the dorm, most of the students and teachers were wearing green! At that time I regretted not wearing the color. Before class, Pamela gave me a green ribbon. I was very happy because I felt I could join at last. I put it on my ID all day. It was a small mark but I liked it, so I wanted to keep it in the rest of the month in MFWI, but the festival finished. It was a short time but it was so much fun, because everyone wore the same color so they looked like a big unit and friends even if someone didn't know each other. The festival took place all over the country on that day, then I felt the magnificent behavior of America.
