Our Interesting Rule

Yesterday my friends in my house decided two rules. That is to speak English only every Monday and Thursday. We will start it in the morning after we go outside and we will finish it at 10:00p.m. February is a month to practice our new rules. That is to say, even if we speak Japanese instinctively, we can escape penalty. However we will be punished if we speak Japanese starting March.

Now, I'll write about penalty we decided. We must pay a dime per Japanese sentence. In addition, when we speak Japanese five times, we must do a speech in English a few minutes. By the way, how will the coins be used? What is their purpose? We decided we will use them to have a party the end of this semester. I thought it's a good idea.

Today was Monday. We tried to speak English only ourselves today for the first time. In the morning, I didn't hear any Japanese and I didn't speak Japanese, but after dinner we spoke a lot of Japanese. Then I asked one of my friends "How many times did you use Japanese today?" She answered as she smiled "More than ten times!" I found it is very difficult to speak English only but I'll do my best with my friends.
