First Week at MFWI by Misuzu
One week has passed since I arrived in Spokane but I feel two or three weeks passed by. I look back over the past... I had Welcome Banquet, started classes, baking cookies party, went to SFCC... so many events were there!! I was surprised that every meal's flavors were very very strong, and sweets are so sweet for Japanese. I miss my mother's cooking when I eat Commons's food. I want to eat Japanese food, such as rice, miso soup, and sushi !! Today, I baked cookies with my RA and friends. I decorated colorful sweet sugar on my cookies. It was very yummy!! I had a very good time, but I surprised that sugar has many type of colors and is very sticky and sweet. I have never seen such sugar in Japan. Japanese sugar is always powdery and white. After I finished eating cookies, I had to do a lot of homework. Reading, Writing, Conversation, American studies, Grammar....so much homework!!! Recently, I think all classes are fun in comparison with when I came here. Tomorrow, I will watch movies and eat ice cream in our house with my RA and friends. I'm looking forward to tomorrow.
