Different Style Comunication

Today I had a lot of exciting experiences and I notice some of things in here. First, I thought probably almost all American people are dignified, but a lot of Japanese people are very shy. I will give some example below.

I think that American people often stare into the eyes when they talking to someone, but Japanese people think it was difficult for them to looking into the eyes for another person will talking.We often turn our eyes away from the person we are talking to. So I asked my RA about this.So she told me about the meaning of this.Looking into one's eyes, means you respect that person and understand what their saying and that you are paying attention.

I didn't t know that, I hadn't known this until from her.But I thought that this is a very special meaning, it was very exciting. Incidentally,she said"Some Japanese people is very shy but you are not! so I like you." I was very happy to hear that from her.
